What is the Raising Cane's Chicken Finger?

Raising Cane's Chicken Finger,
one of fast food restaurant from Louisiana

When We arrived in Louisiana long time ago, We thought that Raising Cane, one of Louisiana fast food restaurants sells “finger” of chicken. Chicken fingers? We ask ourselves.

Chicken fingers, actually mean strips of chicken breasts tenderloin. Strips are white chicken meat, results of cutting, and quite look like finger with little bit width and thickness.

Chicken fingers also refer to:
- Chicken tendies
- chicken strips
- chicken tenders
- chicken fillets
- chicken goujons

Chicken fingers, ready to consume

What special of the Raising Cane's Chicken Finger? It is made of fresh or never frozen chicken tenderloins. Premium Quality.

The chicken fries are crispy and light. I think the taste is different with other fried chicken from other fast food restaurants such as Kentucky Fried Chicken or Chick Fil A.

Chicken Fingers, written on the window of
Raising Cane's restaurant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

I always order to go, then, eat at home. My favorite menus is chicken fingers together with:
- Texas toasts
- Crinkle cut fries
- Coleslaw

Toasts are yummy, crinkle cut fries are fresh, and coleslaw is tasty.

Menus ready to order

Restaurant is founded by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey in 1996. From Baton Rouge, Louisiana spreads across America and the world.

There are 360 Raising Cane's restaurants in 23 states and some foreign countries such as Lebanon and Kuwait with sales about US$ 650 million yearly.

Have you tasted chicken fingers? Where? What is the name of fast food restaurant that you found chicken fingers?

  2. Thank you very much, Evi, for opening my appetite. They must be delicious. Here in Argentina they are not a specialty, since the wings, the tail and the chicken giblets are destined for dogs and cats, which leads me to think: what we are wasting, not valuing, what we are missing. Idiosyncrasies of each place, right?

    Hugs and more hugs, huge.

  19. I brought the kids to Raising Canes yesterday. It's one of their favorites. A free meal is a common award at school for honor roll, student of the month, etc. We always have certificates or gift cards! I personally like Zaxby's better.

  20. Looks good, but I don't know of one near me. I usually don't do fast food. Tried sweet potato fries in the air fryer today and a little disappointed. Need to tweak the recipe.

  21. I respect very much who usually visits this type of fast food restaurants, which here in Spain also abound a lot. However, when I eat wings, breast, thighs ... of chicken, I always do it in restaurants with a la carte food. Let's say I can afford this kind of whims.
    Have a happy weekend!

  22. Prefiero los muslos de pollo y los suelo cocinar en casa. Me gusta la carne limpi, que no tenga ternillas. No me como ni la piel del muslo y nunca he comido alitas. Sólo del pollo como el muslo , la pechuga y azadurita frita.

Well, No Thank You - I Say This In The Most Polite Way Of Delivering It - I Am Proud To Say That My Last Fast Food Experience Was In The Late 1990's When I Lived In Sunny San Diego - However, I Can Whip Up A Mean Batch Of Chicken Fingers. With Fresh Parmesan Cheese, Paprika, Garlic Powder, Kosher Salt, And A Hint Of Cumin And Cayenne.
