It was in the beginning of February when we walked around Louisiana State University (LSU) Campus.
The LSU campus was still quiet in this Spring Semester, so there were not many students walked around.
One of the signs that spring arrive here coming from the Saucer Magnolia trees.
In the LSU campus Baton Rouge grow many big Magnolia trees.
The Saucer Magnolia trees are always attractive when they are blooming. I always admire their beauty.
I took photos of them. The trees were not full blooming yet. I would come back to take photo when the trees full with their flowers.
Sadly, the next days, temperature was dropped to16 F (-8 C) for 2 days.
It was wintry weather, then the flowers of Magnolia were fading from the hard freeze.
I was quite upset that I missed the stunning blooms but the trunks. By this time, I am happy to look those flowers at my friends' blogs.
These blogs have magnificent blooms. Lovely and beautiful flowers of magnolia from Europe.
“The tree is a Magnolia × soulangean. And every year he gets more handsome set of flowers announcing spring”, Laura mentions in her blog This is how I like the world:
A YEAR PASSED AND HE IS STILL HERE.
Another blog is Marisa's blog, Marisa's Closet LOOK Nº 625 - THE PANDEMIC DIARY!
In her pandemic diary, Marisa looks gorgeous in her trench coat with the white-pink-purple Saucer Magnolia flowers around her.
I can't believe it is about spring.
Happy vernal equinox!
